百度’s unaudited financial results for the first quarter of 2020 point to a 7% YoY decline in total revenues, including a 13% decline in 百度核心 revenue to USD$2.2 billion.
百度核心 adjusted EBITDA nonetheless rose 38% to hit $0.7 billion, while the adjusted EBITDA margin rose to 30%, for an 11 point increase compared to the year previously.
“百度首席财务官尤文（Herman You）表示，鉴于COVID-19的不利因素，百度专注于高质量的收入增长，并继续以支出投资回报率来约束，以最大化长期股东价值。
“Baidu Core’其运营效率可归因于百度移动生态系统的增强，与浏览器搜索相比，应用程序内搜索的增长速度更快，利润更高，而新兴AI业务的亏损却更小。”
百度 CEO Robin Li expressed optimism about the company’中国的短期前景’有效遏制COVID-19。
“With the pandemic coming under control in China, offline activities are rebounding and 百度 stands to benefit from a restart of the Chinese economy,” said Li.
